Lisa Alexander Obituary
Lisa Alexander, age 65, passed away on July 8, 2024, in Dover, DE. She is survived by her son, Jordan Alexander; her sister and brother-in-law, Stacy and Dave Hollen; and her nieces, Sara Hollen and Taylor Hollen.
Lisa was born on July 3, 1959, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Richard Alexander and Marjorie Miles. She attended Dover High School, where she became their first female drummer. Lisa spent several years living in San Diego before eventually settling in Dover, DE, with her son. She worked at Delaware State University for 35 years before retiring.
Lisa enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, riding her bike, and being at the beach. During her time at Delaware State University, she received numerous awards, including the Quiet Hero Award. Lisa was known to all as a kind and thoughtful individual who loved long conversations and enjoyed creative pursuits, such as arts and crafts, watercolor painting, and drawing.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE. A gathering will begin at 10 a.m., followed by a ceremony at 11 a.m.
