Lisa Marie Binversie, 45, of La Porte, IN, passed away suddenly, Wednesday December 4, 2024 at Franciscan Hospital, Michigan City, IN., with family at her side.
Lisa was born December 2, 1979 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Michael Ralph Edward Binversie and Delores (Brewer) Binversie and was a lifelong resident of the area.
In her role as an area manager for the McDonald's restaurant chain, Lisa exemplified the true meaning of dedication and leadership. She was known as a hardworking, loving, and caring woman. And mentor to many. Outside of work she enjoyed singing karaoke, lighting up the room with her voice. Lisa also enjoyed coloring beautiful pictures in adult coloring books, and found pleasure building Legos that are displayed around her home. Above all, family was at the heart of Lisa's world and she loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. She always had to be the favorite Aunt with the greatest presents. Her love extended to her "son", Loki, her beloved German Shepherd, who she took for walks and played with. Lisa will very much be missed.
Lisa is survived by her fiancé and partner of 25 years, Joel Collins of La Porte, IN; two sisters, Kari (Patrick) O'Sullivan AKA the best brother n law. of Wayland, MI, Lori Binversie of La Porte, IN; Joel's sister, Julia Collins of Terre Haute, IN; three nieces, Haley Binversie, Amber Norris, Lilly Stone; two great-nephews, Noah, Landon; best friend and bonus sister, Stacy Long of La Porte, IN; childhood best friend, Laura Long of La Porte, IN. She was also greatly anticipating the birth of her new great niece.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later time. Cremation has taken place.
