Lisa W. Bishop, age 61 of Brandon, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. A chapel service will begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Gardens.
She was born in Jackson, MS on February 21, 1962, to M.C. "George" Washington and Merle Washington. She enjoyed working in the yard, reading, watching television, and loved traveling.
Lisa is survived by her husband of 18 years Harold S. Bishop, mother Merle Washington, son Samuel M. Cox, daughter Sara LeeAnne Allen (Josh), grandson Joshua Ray Allen, Jr., sisters Donna Matthews (Mark) and Lynda Pressley, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, George Washington, brother Donald Rutland, and sister Janie Crump (Dan).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
