Lisa Ann Dooley, a cherished member of the Mt Pleasant community, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, at her home in Richfield, North Carolina, on December 24, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on October 18, 1958, in Milford, New Hampshire, she led a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep passion for nurturing both plants and relationships.
Lisa dedicated many years of her life as a horticulturist, sharing her knowledge and love for the natural world while working with various greenhouses and growers. Her expertise and commitment to her career were evident, and she inspired those around her with her enthusiasm for all things botanical.
A proud graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Lisa earned her Bachelor's Degree in Plant Science, laying the foundation for a fulfilling career that brought her joy and a sense of purpose.
In her personal life, Lisa was beloved by her family and friends. She had an infectious spirit that drew people to her and a personality that made every gathering brighter. She loved vibrant tie-dye designs, enjoying long walks on the beach, being in nature, and losing herself in captivating book. These simple pleasures enriched her life and created lasting memories for loved ones.
Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Jeff Furr and their dog Kane, her parents, Robert and Charlene Bernasconi Dooley; her daughters, Tiffanie Furr and Jessica Morgan (Ryan) and ; her siblings, Brian Dooley (Amy), Lauren McConnell, Lynn Hall (Keith), and Beth Hallett (Matt); along with her grandchildren, Kynadee Furr, Cash Morgan, and Emma Morgan. She also leaves behind her nieces, April Hall and Kira Hall, and her nephews, Corey Dooley and Shaun Dooley.
A Visitation will be held on December 26, 2025, from 8:45 AM to 9:45AM, followed by a Celebration of Life starting at 10:00 AM, both taking place at the Community Church of Mount Pleasant, located at 400 N Main St, Mt Pleasant, NC 28124.
Lisa Ann Dooley will be remembered for her profound impact on those who had the privilege of knowing her, her commitment to her work, and her unwavering love for her family. She was a dedicated care taker and fierce advocate for her loving parents.
Lisa and her husband, Jeff deeply adored their church community. One of the highlights at their church includes the day of their baptism. They immersed themselves into Holy Water and were raised out at the same moment to walk in newness of life with Christ.
