CHESTERFIELD, SC – On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, Mrs. Lisa White Farnandez, 55, passed away peacefully at McLeod Health in Cheraw, SC.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, June 1, 2025, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Pope and Rev. Maxwell White officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home and other times at the home of her mother.
Lisa was born November 7, 1969, in Chesterfield County, SC and was a daughter of Wanda Elder White and the late Charles Howard White. She was a 1988 graduate of Anson Senior High School and was Valedictorian of her graduating class. While in high school she was a flag girl in the Bearcat Marching Band. She graduated in 1992 from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
She was a part of the first Leadership Anson Class in 1997, and she worked for 26 years with Duff Norton and Columbus McKinnon.
While growing up and living in Wadesboro, she was a member of North Wadesboro Baptist Church and after moving to Chesterfield, she moved her membership to Westfield Creek Baptist Church.
Those who are left to cherish her memory are her husband, John Farnandez; her children, Natalie White (Thomas Gavlik) of Kernersville, Warner Burr and Charlee Burr both of Chesterfield, SC and John Francis Farnandez of Seattle, WA; her granddaughter, Peyton-Rae Gavlik of Kernersville; her mother, Wanda White of Morven; her sister, Amy Woodward of Chesterfield, SC; her nephews and niece, Davis Delaney (Kelli), Max White (Mary Elizabeth) and Kristina Woodward and their families all of Chesterfield, SC; her father-in-law, Jack Farnandez of The Villages, FL; her sister-in-law, The Honorable Kara Farnandez Stoll of McLean, VA; her uncle, George Elder, Jr. (Debbie) of Chester, VA; and her aunt, Alice “Tootsie” Wray (Doug) of McKenney, VA.
She also leaves special family friends, Patsy Brasington of Wadesboro; Natalie’s dad, Benjy Brasington, III of Kernersville; Warner and Charlee’s dad, Robbie Burr of Wadesboro; Bruce Delaney of Chesterfield, SC; Monica Jackson Cole of Monroe and her caregivers, Donna Deese and Stacy Price.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 205 E Main St, Chesterfield, SC 29709 or to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson Foundation, 5757 Waterford District Dr., Suite 310, Miami, FL 33126.
