Lisa was born in California, but grew up in Montville, with her three sisters and two brothers. Growing up in a large close-knit family, Lisa was happiest among the ones she loved. Family gatherings, gymnastics with her sisters, neighborhood football games, are all events she spoke so fondly of.
When Lisa married the love of her life and best friend, Steve Gerrish, her love of family grew. Together, with the help of her in-laws, they built a house in North Stonington, where Lisa thrived as a mother. Lisa was the mom who never missed a sporting event, school ceremony, or a special moment in the lives of her children. She was known for entertaining friends, making amazing birthday cakes, and hosting all her kids' friends.
Her love of motherhood was nothing compared to her true joy of being a Nana. Lisa showered her 11 grandchildren with love and devotion, never wanting to miss a moment of their lives. They were here greatest treasures, her only regret being that she was leaving them too soon.
Heather Armad and Michael Pinkerton of Waterford, Amanda and Frank Ungvary of Maine, Kyle and Heather Gerrish of Salem, Kendra and JC Flaherty of Old Lyme, and Katlyn and Dan Vuono of Westerly, all will miss the love she brought to their lives. Besides her immediate family, Lisa leaves behind her sisters and brothers-in-law, Robyn and Bill Bond, Julie and Bruce Kelly and Laurie Cecchini, as well as her brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Paige Cecchini.
While Lisa will be truly missed, everybody knows the welcome she will receive when she joins her best friend, Steve, in the heaven.

My thoughts , love and prayers are with all of the Cecchini family. Our families were so close especially our parents!! We would visit and all hang out together. Always had fun times spending time together!

Lisa was always kind and supportive through all our years together in school--a lot of years! I always admired her athleticism and her sense of humor even through difficult times. When I think of high school, Lisa was the kindest one to me, and I have always appreciated that. Her children and grandchildren were fortunate to have such a wonderful matriarch.

I have so many found memories with my childhood friend and the whole Cecchini family. From sleepovers, pool parties to just the many times just hanging out and talking. Lisa was a beautiful soul inside and out. My deepest sympathies to her children and her siblings. Love always Warren & Lori

To all of Lisa´s family especially Julie & Robin , I send my sincere condolences for her passing. I will always remember her smiling , her kind and quiet ways. I know she is in the loving arms of her husband in heaven. You all gained a beautiful guardian angel.
