Lisa Johnson Obituary
NEW BALTIMORE - Lisa Jean Johnson, born July 10, 1961, in Albany, N.Y., passed on to eternal life on October 8, 2024. Predeceased by her brother, Lewis Johnson; and parents, Margaret Johnson and Charles Johnson; she is survived by her brothers, Vel (Diane) Johnson, Wayne (Kari) Johnson; and sister, Dotty (Brad) Winne; her beloved children, Cameron Burton, Lewis Welter, and Baylea Welter; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Lisa grew up in New Baltimore and graduated from Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School in 1980. She worked as a home health aide for many years, then devoted her life to her children, who she defended fiercely and loved unconditionally.
Lisa had a profound love for animals, caring for dozens of pets throughout her life. Lisa will be forever missed by those who love her.
In lieu of flowers, the Johnson family asks instead for donations to the Columbia-Greene Humane Society.
Viewing hours will take place at Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena on Saturday, October 12, from 11:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. with a memorial service immediately following. Interment will be in Chestnut Lawn Cemetery, New Baltimore.

Fondly remembering Lisa, her smile and her kind soul! She adopted some kittens from me decades ago and I never encountered anyone so excited for kittens! Any yes - more than one! She would send me pictures of them as they grew. What a treasure to this world she was! My condolences to her family and thank you God for letting us all experience some time with Lisa.

I think about her often. We had a lot of fun at our childhood parties with Lewis, Joyce, and New Baltimore friends. So sorry I will miss the funeral. I am praying for your family. RIP forever classmate.
