I think about Lisa a lot-I feel like her presence is near me every time I sit down in the office, at the same desk Lisa would work at (and okay, maybe check Facebook sometimes).
I have so, so many fond memories. Doug, you and Lisa were the best bosses I ever had! I remember her laughing with her sisters at the lunch table in back, sitting in the office with Nemo right there behind her, her and my niece guarding the cupcakes at my wedding!
I´m so sorry she´s gone, and I still love her-both of you-a whole bunch. You made a huge difference in my life at a time when I really needed some structure and a little encouragement. I´ll think of her fondly every time I sit down at that desk.

A million words would fill these pages.
Both Doug and Lisa, childhood friends at first. Once they meet one another, their eyes locked, the world changed and a wonderful teenage love sprouted and grew for over 55 years. My brother and sister for a lifetime. Junior high, High school, I remember your wedding, your first house, and the Town House business in Owego.
Then, you set out on a journey to N.C.
Took the business and your family there.
A new life, a new journey, It was a story book love that flew so high.
Our recent reunion of friends and family was a true gift from God, one that I will cherish forever. Lisa turned into quite a wonderful person, the memories here prove her huge heart. Her wonderful children and grandkids are testament and legacy to behold. Your free little sister, fly with the angels. Toksha akhe, I will see you again.
And Doug, It was in God's plan that put me with you that week. I am honored to have had that time with you. I love you brother, and always will.
Stand tall, and know, one day we will all be free of these early bonds, We will all be together again with our loved ones and ancestors. A'ho brother.

To my beautiful sister Lisa
Love you always - Linda
Lisa my sister, Lisa my friend
I'll think of you forever
Our bond will never end
All the growing up we did
Some together, some apart
All those special memories
Ill keep hidden in my heart
Oh death, where is your victory
Oh death, where is your sting
Youve entered into the heavenly places
Where your joy is full, and where Angels sing
Healed, healthy and completely whole
Divinely perfect, is what you are
Laying on the glory clouds, and riding on the stars
One day we'll meet again...
Hi Lis, Hi Lin
Until that time, when that day comes
I know youll be there to welcome me home.

My condolences to Doug and the family. I received the news from one of the Dagger band members and my shock is hard to express.
Lisa was always a good friend and surely missed.

I will always remember her smile, generosity, love for animals, and sweetness.
I never got to live close to her and haven't been able to visit often lately, but I loved her so much.
She would always remember to send my daughter Elizabeth something for every Christmas.
I wish she could still be here, but I'm so glad her suffering isn't over and that she gets to be with Jesus and her mom.
I'm so sorry to Uncle Doug, her kids, and all my aunts.
I know she will be greatly missed.

I always would go swimming with Aunt Lisa when I was younger.
I was super shy and didn't know her super well in the beginning.
I remember swimming in the waves with her and talking more than I had before.
I remember thinking how much I loved hanging out with her and how much easier it was to talk to her than I thought.

I have another memory of her inviting me,Ben,and Elizabeth over for dinner a while ago.
She must have cooked close to three hours on the dinner she made.
It was Greek lemon chicken.
She used the cast iron skillet and put it in the oven to cook it to make it even more yummy.
It was by far the best meal I have ever had.
She put so much love and time in it.

My most favorite memory that I can remember is when I was super little and came down south to visit.
I remember seeing Aunt Lisa and she had apple crisp in a cup with ice cream she bought from somewhere.
She sat me on her knee and shared it with me.
It was the first time I ever had that dessert and it felt extra special to me because I was the only one who got any lol.

Doug, so sorry for your loss of your amazing life partner. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Although we lost touch for nearly 50 years, I'm greatful for opportunity to reunite with you and Lisa. Your love and commitment to each other was obvious to any that were blessed to cross your paths.

My family and I have so many wonderful memories of Lisa and your family. The first time I met Lisa was about 40 years ago when I opened my front door and she told me she had met my husband and he told her she needed to meet me because he thought we would hit it off. We certainly did! We ended up living next door to each other. We spent so much time sharing ,ideas, celebrating Birthdays ,raising children, walking, talking about God. We would have lunch and tea together and laugh a lot. Walk our children to school every day when Christy ,Johnnie, Leah and Ryan were young. I could write a boo&! Lisa was one of the kindest most loving friend i ever met. We love her and your family and always will. With love and hugs......Angela and Johnnie Whaley

Miss Lisa played an integral role in our lives, transcending the typical boundaries of neighborly interaction. From the tender age of 4 1/2, when I first met her and her family-Doug, Leah, and Ryan-they became an inseparable part of my life's fabric. Miss Lisa was not just a friendly face next door; she was a pillar of support, a confidante, and a guiding force who stood by us through thick and thin
Her presence was more than comforting; it was foundational. She shared in our joys and sorrows with equal measure, offering laughter during our happiest moments and solace during our darkest times. Her unwavering support extended beyond mere gestures; it manifested in countless acts of kindness that left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Whether we needed advice or simply someone to listen, Miss Lisa was always there, embodying the true essence of familial love.
In every shared memory-every laugh and every tear-she played an irreplaceable role that enriched our lives immeasurably. Her absence is deeply felt, but her legacy continues to inspire us to be better neighbors and friends. Miss Lisa will be truly missed by our family, forever remembered for the amazing person she was.
