Lisa Kimnach Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Twiford Funeral Homes - Elizabeth City on Jun. 27, 2024.
Lisa Davenport Kimnach, age 58, of Jarvisburg, NC, passed away on June 24, 2024, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Born on March 29, 1966, in Gold Beach, OR, to the late Willliam Davenport and the late Sheila Barnes Davenport, she was a long-time resident of Virginia Beach, VA, and graduated from Cox High School before later relocating to North Carolina. Lisa was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend and will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
Lisa was not only a meticulous real estate title examiner by profession but also a true lover of life's simpler pleasures. Her nurturing and compassionate soul shined through in her profound love for animals and her admiration for the breathtaking beauty of sunsets. Whether she was fishing, at the beach, or tending to animals on her farm, Lisa radiated joy and kindness. Her gentle spirit was mirrored perfectly in the serene spectacle of the sun dipping below the horizon and in her tender care for all creatures big and small. Those fortunate enough to have known Lisa will remember her as a beacon of warmth and care, whose essence was as comforting and inspiring as the peaceful end of a sunlit day.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, William and Sheila Davenport. She is survived by her son, Bryan Kimnach (Emily) of Shawboro, NC; daughter, Heather Kimnach Holland (Justin) of Edenton, NC; brothers, William Davenport of Jarvisburg, NC, and Donnie Davenport of Currituck, NC; stepbrothers, Chris Swain of Currituck, NC, and Mickey Swain of Collington, NC; stepsister, Sheryl Eustis of Benson, NC; grandchildren, Addison and Lyla Kimnach; and ex-husband, Charles Kimnach.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 pm on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at H.K. Farm, 233 Woodville Road, Hertford, NC 27944 (across from Whitehurst Sand Company).
Twiford Funeral Homes, 405 E. Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC, is assisting the Kimnach family during this difficult time. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.TwifordFH.com.
May Lisa's legacy of kindness and warmth continue to inspire all those fortunate enough to have known her.
