Lisa Garrett Koenig, 53, of Davidson, died December 8, 2023. She was born on January 23, 1970 in New Jersey to Peter Garrett and the late Shirley Breckenridge.
Survivors include her son, Ryan Koenig of Charlotte and brother, Jason Garrett.
Lisa was an incredibly selfless individual who would go above and beyond for her friends, family, and colleagues without second thought. She was a devoted mother, who poured boundless love and care into her Son, no matter the cost. Lisa was a true Matriarch and a guiding light for her Son throughout life.
Professionally, Lisa dedicated her entire career to helping others. With a background in social work and university admissions, she has been a beacon of hope for those facing challenges and adversity. Lisa's ability to connect with people on a deep and personal level made her a trusted confidante and advocate for positive change in the lives of many.
She will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, Lisa would have loved a donation made to Felines For Adoption Cat Rescue, in New Jersey, in her name. Website: Savingfancycats.org/donate
A celebration of life will be held at The Lodge by Homewood Suites, in Davidson, NC on December 16th from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM.

I went to school with Lisa when she attended The Multi Learning Center in Sussex NJ for 2 years. She was funny and fit right in. I am sorry to Ryan who had to lose his Mom too soon. I really wish something could have been done for her. Gone way too soon. To her friends, her brother and the rest of her family, I truly am so sorry for your loss. I wish I knew her longer.
