Lisa Lanham Obituary
Age 68, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025. Beloved wife of Edward, with whom she shared 47 wonderful years of marriage. Loving mother of Jason (fiancée Leslie) Lanham and Shawn Lanham. Cherished grandmother of Paige and Charlotte. Dear sister of Eric (Lettie) Loucks. Treasured aunt of Missy and April, survived by many extended family members who loved her deeply.
Lisa was predeceased by her parents Peter and Mary, whose love and guidance shaped the strong, compassionate woman she became, and her dear sister Julie Littleton.
Faith was an important part of Lisa's life. During her years in Catholic school, she proudly earned many prizes for memorizing her Bible verses-a reflection of her deep and abiding faith.
Lisa and Ed were married in 1978 and honeymooned at Niagara Falls, one of their most cherished memories. She dedicated her life to caring for others through her work in healthcare, serving in roles such as nurse, ward clerk, billing specialist, pharmacy assistant, and nurse aide. Lisa was a fighter-she often stood up for what was right, advocating for her family and her patients, earning the respect and admiration of all who knew her.
She had a sharp wit and a wonderful sense of humor that stayed with her through every challenge. Lisa loved all kinds of music, especially country and opera. She once won a karaoke contest and proudly held the position of first chair in her high school band. One of her most memorable nights with Ed was spent listening to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra perform at Metro Beach, a moment they both treasured.
Outside of work, Lisa's greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her beloved granddaughters. She and Ed also enjoyed their visits to Frankenmuth, Michigan, and the simple joys of life together. Lisa will be deeply missed by her loyal companion, Maggie, her mini poodle.
A Celebration of Life will be held in March 2026 to honor Lisa's memory, her courage, her laughter, and the love she shared with so many.
