Thomas L. Binert, age 71, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, surrounded by love. Beloved and committed husband of George for 34 years. Dear brother of Andrew (the late Dorothy) Binert, Paul Binert, and Donald (Bev) Binert. Preceded in death by his siblings Bob (Carol) Binert and Pat (the late Robert) Taylor, and by his parents Andrew and Helen Binert. Tom will be dearly missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Tom dedicated more than 25 years of his life to Ford Motor Company, where his hard work and craftsmanship were deeply valued. A gifted and artistic soul, Tom had a true talent for woodworking-creating everything from charming birdhouses to beautifully remodeled kitchens. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life: spending time at his cabin up north, enjoying a quiet cup of coffee with George, or admiring a fine car at a local car show. His creativity, kindness, and humor touched all who knew him.

Visitation for Tom will be held on Thursday, October 23, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 25800 Harper Avenue, St. Clair Shores. Interment will take place on Friday, October 24, at 10:00 a.m. at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Tom's honor.

Tom's life was built with love, laughter, and craftsmanship-each day a reflection of the care and creativity he poured into everything he touched. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of warmth and artistry will endure forever.
