Lisa Lynn Libengood, born on December 23, 1966, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away on February 23, 2026, at WVU Ruby Memorial, leaving a legacy characterized by resilience and dedication. She was 59 years old at the time of her passing.

Lisa's professional journey included significant contributions to the financial sector, working for Bank One and JP Morgan. Her educational background in legal security underscored her intelligence and professionalism. She proudly recalls one of her proudest accomplishments during her tenure at the banks, where she played an instrumental role in settling a case valued at over one million dollars.

Beyond her professional life, Lisa had a unique and beautiful love story; she met her husband, Christopher Libengood, in an unconventional manner, leading to a fulfilling marriage that lasted 23 years. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Johnothon and Sidney Libengood, who were a source of immense pride and joy in her life.

Lisa was known for her vibrant personality. Smart yet stubborn, she faced every challenge with determination, fighting until the very end against the heart condition that ultimately led to her passing.

Her love for the outdoors, particularly fishing, provided her with cherished moments alongside her children. She delighted in sharing stories about their fishing adventures, including proud tales of catching walleyes and even a turtle, which became fond memories for her family.

Lisa is survived by her beloved husband Christopher, her children Johnothon and Sidney, and her two siblings, Roy (Tina) Plummer of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, and Lori Plum of Chicago, Illinois. She is predeceased by her parents, Dale Seth and Lois Annette (Morrison) Plum.

Lisa Lynn Libengood will be remembered not just for her professional accolades, but for the warmth and love she brought to her family and friends. Her legacy lives on through the stories and memories shared by her loved ones. Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
