Lisa Ann Payne Mickles, 63, resident of Millerstown Pennsylvania, passed away on January 23rd after a brave battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Lisa was born September 2nd, 1962 to Dwight Payne and Kirsten Light in Arizona. Lisa travelled the world with her military father, spending time living in many parts of the world. After a long journey to find "home", she set down roots in Millerstown PA where she happily spent the remainder of her life. Lisa leaves behind a fruitful legacy as a loving mother and grandmother, a career in newspaper journalism for the Pike County Dispatch in Milford Pennsylvania, and a cherished member of the Moose Riders motorcycle league. Throughout her life, Lisa was able to touch the hearts of many through her joyful spirit and boundless positivity. Despite the trying times leading up to her death, Lisa showed remarkable strength, continuing to enjoy all of the things she loved: riding her motorcycle, gardening, and spending time with her loved ones.
She leaves behind her companion Frank Benson; her children Natalie (28) and husband Dylan McHugh (30) in addition to son and grandchild Clay (3), Nicole (27) and Madison (24) along with previous spouse Gary Mickles. Her siblings, Vanessa Difiglia Light, Stacy Landfield Light, Kimberly Light and David Light.
Luke 6:21 "Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh."
