Lisa Mitchell

Lisa Ann Mitchell, 69, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15th surrounded by family. She was born on October 10th, 1955 in Gary, IN to George and Betty Christner.

Lisa poured herself out for her family. Her boys were everything to her and she was their biggest fan and cheerleader. She was extravagantly generous with her gifts and her time, making each birthday and milestone special. She loved turning her home into a winter wonderland at Christmas time where no less than 25 Santas and thousands of lights ushered in the holidays. Her favorite time of year, however, was Summer because she cultivated the most beautiful garden. This was her escape and her altar, where she met with God. No visitor left without a bouquet if there were flowers in bloom.

She was a customer service expert working in various client facing and logistics roles throughout the years, most recently as a fuel dispatching manager with Kenan Advantage Group.

Lisa was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Christner. She is survived by her father, George Christner, her two sons, David (Caitlin) Curfman and John (Brandi) Curfman, her two grandchildren, Josiah and Brielle, who brightened her world and whom she spoiled, and many dear friends.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday October 18th, at 1 PM at Simpson United Methodist Church (4900 Middlebranch Rd, Canton, OH 44705). Guests are requested to wear bright colors or floral prints.
