Lisa Marie "Melnyk" Morris

Lisa Marie (Melnyk) Morris, 49, of Berlin, wife of R. James "Jamie" Morris, passed away Thursday (November 27, 2025) at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. Born in New Britain, daughter of Walter and Wanda (Iwanik) Melnyk, of Newington, she grew up in Newington and lived in Berlin since 2002. Lisa was a graduate of Newington High School, class of 1994, and received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Connecticut. She also earned her Certified Financial Planner designation (CFP). Lisa was employed at Valenti Wealth Management in Farmington for the past 30 years. Where she has recently served as a Vice President. She was a member of St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church in New Britain and was also a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority.

Besides her husband and parents, Lisa leaves a daughter, Katherine Morris and a son, Ryan Morris, both of Berlin; a brother, Andrew Melnyk and his wife Dorothy, of Newington; a sister, Laura Melnyk of Rocky Hill; Parents in-law; Richard and Catherine Morris of Tolland; and sister in-law Leslie and her husband Shawn Hannon of Ellington; nieces Hannah, Maddie, Ellie, Caroline; nephews Connor, Cooper, Brian; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A private family service will be held at St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for the education of her children or Breast Cancer Research. Carlson Funeral Home, New Britain, is assisting with arrangements.
