Lisa Marie Peery

Lisa Marie Ellis Peery received her heavenly wings September 3, 2025, and went to be with Jesus. Lisa was born to Delbert and Margie (Brinkley) Ellis on September 5, 1961.
Those preceding in death were her parents Delbert and Margie Ellis, her son, Bobby Peery, Brothers, Robert and Ricky Ellis, Grandparents, Winfield and Willie Brinkley, Gene and Clara Ellis, and Sister-in-law, Betty Ellis.
Lisa leaves her son, Jonathan Scott Peery, Bob Peery, sister, Linda Klingler (Scott), brother, Donald Ellis (Stacey), nieces, Delana Simon (Jeff), Kayla McDonald (Jason), nephews, Jimmy Mills (Brandy), Daniel Ellis (Courtney), and Brent Ellis (Michelle). She also leaves a host of great nieces and nephews as well as great-great nieces and nephews. One of her great-great nieces was born just hours after Lisa went to be with Jesus. She also leaves many cousins and friends whom she loved dearly.
Lisa loved her family and friends with her whole heart. She helped anyone that she saw in need. Lisa never stopped giving and was always present for you if you needed her. She would laugh with you but would cry in private. She was grieving the recent loss of her son, Bobby, and now her broken heart is healed.
Even through her trials, she was looking forward to life and to new adventures. She loved flowers, her pets, and going out to eat. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends just sitting and talking, watching old movies, and listening to music. She didn't take the simple joys of life for granted. So much more could be said but there just aren't enough words to describe who she was and what she meant to all of those who love her. Lisa accepted Jesus at a young age at Mt Comfort Church in Westport, TN. She was baptized in Maples Creek Lake. She would talk of and share her faith often, which made this writer's heart happy! Lisa will always be remembered for being the loving, generous, and thoughtful person that she was. She will forever be our guardian angel.
Visitation with the family will be on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 5:00-8:00 PM and again on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 9:00-11:00 AM at Oakdale Funeral Home in Camden, TN.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11 AM at Oakdale Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Scott Klingler officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery, 5315 Hwy 114, Westport, TN. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Lisa, please visit our Tree Store.
