Lisa Lenore (Garnaat) Schlabach, age 62 of Centreville, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Lisa was born on February 27, 1963, in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Roy Garnaat and Jeannine Hunt (Garnaat) Taylor. Lisa was an accomplished pressman at Label Technique, Inc. in Sturgis, Michigan, where she met her best friend and love of her life, Larry Wayne Schlabach. They married on April 20, 1991, in Sturgis, Michigan. Together they built an amazing life raising their three children who were her greatest pride and joy. Lisa was a wonderful stay-at-home mom until her children were of school age. She volunteered with the St. Joseph County Sherriff's Department Victim Services. She worked at Centreville Public Schools cafeteria, Three Rivers Hospital cafeteria, and Yoder's Country Market, where she retired in January 2024. She catered many events, arranged wedding flowers, scrapbooked, and enjoyed doing many arts and crafts activities. She also enjoyed driving her golf cart and riding four wheelers with her grandsons. She is survived by her husband, Larry, Centreville, MI; daughter, Kylee Schlabach, Centreville, MI; daughter, Katie (Cory) Wiggins, Sturgis, MI; son, Collin (Alisa) Schlabach, Sturgis, MI; her greatest treasures on earth, grandsons, Branson Wayne Wiggins and Micah Wayne Schlabach. She is also survived by her brother, David (Brenda Troyer) Garnaat, Portage, MI; sister, Susan (Garnaat) Wilson, Portage, MI; brother-in-law, Fred Messner, Sturgis, MI; and many other brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carol (Garnaat) Messner; sister-in-law, Joyce (Larson) Garnaat; brother-in-law, Steve Wilson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, LaVern and Mary Lou Schlabach; and niece, CaleighAnne Jennifer Schlabach. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Lisa's life, as they gather from 3:00-7:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 22nd at Grace Christian Fellowship, 300 Timothy Drive, Sturgis, MI. Celebration of Life service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 23rd at Grace Christian Fellowship. Pastor JT Zehr of Bridges Community Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery, Burr Oak, MI. Schipper Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Schlabach family for help with funeral expenses. Envelopes will be available at Church.
