Lisa J. Spagna (nee Carnvali), 64, of Manville, NJ, died peacefully on July 11, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, joy, and cherished memories.
Born on September 6, 1959, in New Brunswick, NJ, Lisa was a lifelong resident of Manville, where she made an indelible mark on the community she loved so dearly Born In New Brunswick to Elmer Carnevali and Beatrice (Langley) Zufall, Lisa attended Bridgewater Votech High School and built a vibrant career as a beautician at various salons in the Manville area. Her dynamic presence also extended to the local hospitality scene, where she worked as a bartender at Spotlights and the Bridgewater Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Lisa's vivacious spirit and love for life were evident in her many passions. She was known for her enthusiasm for dancing, her zest for music, and her unbridled avidity for life's celebrations. She was a frequent visitor to Studio 54, and a devoted fan of disco dancing and concerts and in particular, David Bowie, who held a special place in her heart.
Her joy was further amplified by her annual trips to Arizona and her summers spent at the Jersey Shore. Lisa's love for travel and adventure was matched only by her affection for her family. As an aunt, she was a cherished figure in the lives of her nieces and nephews, including Cody Gotto and Clayton Horton, and her niece Brooklyn Starnes.
She is Predeceased by her sister Linda Gotto, Brother William Hurst, and sister Michelle Quinn.
Lisa is survived by her partner, Brett Stoop; her brother, Richie Hurst; She also leaves behind her best friend of 40 years, Christopher Orzolek, and her close friend and housemate, Katherine Nowak, who lovingly cared for her.
Services were private, condolences can be left on her tribute wall.
