Lisa Tucker Obituary

Lisa Tucker
Born: January 30, 1959 in Wheeling, WV
Died: September 26, 2025 in Ottawa, IL
Lisa Tucker, 66, of Marseilles, passed away surrounded by family on Friday morning, September 26, 2025 at Pleasant View. Private arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.
Lisa was born on January 30, 1959 in Wheeling, WV, the first of 8 children born to Howard and Barbara (Jones) Kelley. She was a graduate of Marseilles High School, class of 1977 and married her first husband the same year. Their marriage took her on many worldly travels for a few years and gave her 2 beautiful children, Danny Read and Katie (Read) Bodine. A lifelong Cubs fan, Lisa also spent several years in Chicago before returning home to Marseilles and marrying James Tucker in 2006.
Her years back in Marseilles were spent with friends and family. She could be found watching jeopardy, playing trivial pursuit, relaxing poolside with a Bacardi and Coke in the summer and cozying up with a good crossword or indoor craft in cooler weather. Thursday evenings were for euchre and weekends brought garage sales and occasionally events for her grandchildren. Lisa was the family cheerleader, rememberer of birthdays, and top chef. Her family especially looked forward to her various finger foods at KelleyPalooza and crowd-pleasing lasagna. Lisa was the life of the party, a true fashionista, a quick-witted Queen Bee, and the anchor of her family. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara; her husband, James; two children Danny (Erica) Read of Marseilles and Katie (Bryan) Bodine of Gardner; four grandchildren, Cade & Kendall Read and Aiden & Paige Bodine; three brothers, Howard Kelley, Glenn (Karen) Kelley, and Timothy (Susan) Kelley; three sisters, Mary (Terry) Blue, Beth Goldstein, and Amy Kelley; and loving Aunt Beeps to Sara (Nathan) Whalen, Aron (Kris Wlosek) Oakley, Matthew (Amy) Oakley. Kourtney, Ashley, Sean, Lucy, Nathan Kelley. Great Aunt Lisa to Nate Whalen, Maggie & Emma Oakley-Wlosek.
She has been reunited with her father, Howard and a brother Patrick Kelley at the "back garage" in the sky.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
