Lisa Wilder Pelton Wofford (February 17, 1967 - June 06, 2023) was born in New York City. Daughter of the late Edward Galligan and the late Reni Gardner, she graduated high school at the age of 16 and went straight to medical school. She received her medical degrees from Erskine College and The Medical University of South Carolina. She was a practicing MD until becoming fully disabled with Multiple Sclerosis in 2013.
She lived the majority of her life in Charleston, SC and Memphis, TN. She was a dedicated member of AA and recovery was a big part of her life. She sponsored many people over the years, helping them achieve sobriety. She was strong in her faith and shared it with everyone. She loved everyone she met and welcomed them with open arms. She watched Joyce Meyer's service every morning to start her day, and her favorite radio station was K-Love. She loved Law and Order, and her cat Boo-Boo. Her favorite food was pizza, and Thursday will always be Lisa pizza day. She was an amazing mother, spouse, and friend.
She passed away on June 6th, due to complications from a routine surgery.
Lisa is survived by her husband Robert, her children Wilder, Peter, Lexi, Ryan, her grandchildren Sutton, Cela, Isabelle, and her sister Tracy.
