Lissa Lou Madsen, 72, of Colona passed away peacefully at home on June 20, 2025 after an extended illness.
Please join the family to celebrate Lissa and share a story or two at 1:00PM Saturday, June 28, 2025 at her son’s home in Colona.
Lissa was born November 14, 1952 in Davenport, IA the daughter of Allan and Elinor Kinyon Cook. She graduated from Muscatine High School and Black Hawk College School of Nursing. In 1973, Lissa married Gary Madsen. She spent many years volunteering with various organizations including Izaak Walton League, RICAPP, and Sylvan Island Dreamers.
Lissa is survived by her husband Gary, sons Tyler (Jennifer Anderson) and Lorin; grandsons Nicholas and Carter; sister B. Colleen Raabe; 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
Lissa was preceded in death by her parents, brother Kevin Cook, and a very special cousin Virginia Carlson.
