It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Ann Procter Zinn on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at the age of 65. She passed peacefully in her home.

Liz was born to Harold R. and Nora Alberta (Rigsby) Procter on August 30, 1960. She was raised in Rogersville and a 1978 graduate of Logan-Rogersville High School. In her younger years she enjoyed softball and volleyball. She enjoyed sewing hats and animals for her granddaughter and loved playing golf and going to the casino.

In the last few years Liz had been able to enjoy spending time with her loved ones. She cherished her friends so very much. Not a whole lot of people met her and didn't just fall in love with her smile, contagious laugh and sassy ways. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be missed by so many.

She is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Cochrane and her husband Shawn; her granddaughter, Nora Cochrane, her father, Harold Procter, a sister, RaeEtta Cook and her husband Steve; a niece, Courtney Cantrell and her husband Eric; great nephews, Cohen and Nevin; two step-grandchildren, Shay and Bailey; two great-grandchildren, Liam and Ronan; close friends, Susan and Cora; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother Alberta Procter in 2022.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2025 at J.D. Lee and Sons Funeral Home with a memorial service following at 12:00 p.m.
