Lloyd Jean Boston

Lloyd Jean Boston Jr., 70 went home to be with the Lord on Sept 18th, 2021 after a valiant battle. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggles and ultimately gave him the peace he needed to exit this world the way he lived, on his own terms.
Lloyd was born on Oct. 4th, 1950 in Garberville, CA to the late Lloyd Boston, Sr. and
Frances Boston and grew up in Lexington, IN. After H.S. graduation he attended Vincennes University then moved to Chesterton IN where he was employed by Midwest Steel which eventually became U.S. Steel. He worked there for over 45 years as a crane operator then motor inspector. He was also a proud member of Christian Motorcyclist Association, Sons of Thunder #385 in NW Indiana for over 20 years.
Lloyd was a devoted family man and a loving father. He married his best friend, Valerie Handley in June 1971 and they had three children together. Lloyd helped to raise his children with love, discipline, humility and faith.
Lloyd was a teddy bear at heart. He was a big burley kind guy who was soft spoken, had a wonderful sense of humor; always liked to chat and try to help out. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones and friends who celebrate the fact that he is now at peace in his true home in heaven with the Lord.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Valerie; his daughters Holly (Derek) Sutton and Amber Boston- (Eric) Woodville; his Grandchildren Zach Sutton, Paige Sutton and Henry Boston-Woodville; and his sister Lynnette (Larry) Gilbert. He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Blake Lloyd Boston.
A celebration of life service will be held for Lloyd at Crossroads Christian Church, 3838 State Road 44 ( PO Box 187) New Smyrna Beach, FL 32170 on Oct. 30th 11:00 a.m. 2021. In lieu of flowers he requested that donations be made in his memory to the church he loved attending so much.
