Lloyd Brenneke Obituary
He served his country in the United States Army.
Lloyd was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen and served in various capacities. He was member of the Hoagland Lions Club and the Hoagland Fire Department.
He was employed at General Electric for 42 years as a tool maker.
Lloyd will be remembered as a "fix-it" man and enjoyed helping with many projects.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Brenneke of Hoagland, Indiana; son, Doug (Tama) Brenneke of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; two daughters, Tammera Roussey of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Tracy (Josh) Hoot of Hoagland, Indiana; brother, Bruce (Jamie) Brenneke of Woodburn, Indiana; 10 grandchildren, Quinn Brenneke, Zane Brenneke, Kaleb (Sonia) Dienelt, Natalie (Matt) Beckstedt, Hunter Dienelt, Vanessa (Eric) Faulkner, Taylor Roussey, Austin Roussey, Eden Hoot, and Riley Hoot; and five great-grandchildren.
Lloyd was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger Brenneke and Mark Brenneke; and two sisters, Irene Benschneider, and Phyllis Helmke.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen with Pastor Peter Brock and Pastor Berett Steffen officiating. Burial will follow in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Graveside honors will be rendered by the American Legion Post #43.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Preferred memorials can be given to St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen.
