Lloyd Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory - De Pere on Dec. 11, 2025.
Lloyd D. Davis 70 passed away peacefully at St Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, WI on Sunday December 7th, 2025, with his niece and daughter by his side. Lloyd was born in Sacaton, Arizona on September 23rd, 1955, to the late Lloyd Davis and late Beverlene Davis.
Lloyd attended Little Big Horn High School and received his GED. He also attended welding school and after was a welder in Chicago for a while before he moved to Wisconsin.
Lloyd lived and was a welder in Chicago for a while before he decided to move to Wisconsin to be closer to his daughter and her family. He loved welding and even though at the time there were not many welding jobs in Green Bay, he wanted to be by his daughter and applied for a position with the Oneida Tribe at elderly services. He worked there for many years until his stroke 10 years ago. He loved seeing and helping the elders. His duties included cutting grass for the elders in the summer, raking and cleaning up yards in the fall, and in the winter, it was plowing driveways, shoveling and salting walkways and driveways for the elders.
Lloyd had a big heart and would help anyone in need. He was a great father to his daughter Tahni, and like a father to many others including his daughters, brothers, sisters and his nieces Stephanie and Earlene.
Lloyd loved sports. His favorite football team was the Chicago Bears. His favorite basketball team was the Chicago Bulls. He loved movies, he especially liked going to the movies with his daughter and granddaughter. Lloyd's favorite kind of movies were action movies and comedy movies and he also liked the Harry Potter movies which he saw in theaters with his daughter and granddaughter. That might be where his daughter picked up her love for Harry Potter, sharing those movie moments with her dad. Lloyd loved different restaurants and enjoying a meal out with his daughter and granddaughter here and there. Texas roadhouse, Longhorn Steakhouse, Gallagher pizza, just to name a few of his favorites but his favorite restaurant was El Sarape. Family was always very important to him, his Davis family, trips to Arizona where most of the Davis family would be together. And his daughter's Torres side of the family was always important to him too.
Lloyd is survived by his daughter Tahni Torres along with Tahni's siblings who Lloyd treated and loved like his own kids. Lorena (Brian) Jordan, Dana Isaac, Kaniyaka Anowal, and Tyler Torres.
Lloyd is further survived by one granddaughter, Victoria Torres who he also called his "favorite granddaughter" and "Vicky Victoria." His siblings Verna Pollice (Davis) Kenneth Davis, Loyce Davis, and Derron Davis. Nieces Stephanie Correa, Earlene Davis-Barcos, Jorjan Deloney, nephew Jayce Deloney, great nieces Cheyenne Davis, Maya Correa, Nina Correa, and Ruby Correa. And special family friend Gretchen Strouse Scott.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his mother Beverlene Davis and his sister Karen Davis.
Family and friends may call to Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N Tenth Street, DePere WI 54115 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, December 15th, 2025. A memorial service will begin immediately following visitation at 11:00 AM.
The family would like to give a special thank you to all the staff in the ICU who took care of my dad during his stay at the hospital and who comforted and helped me during everything while my dad was in the ICU.
