Lloyd Eubanks Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Troy B. Smith Professional Services on Mar. 11, 2024.
Lloyd Henry Eubanks was born May 4, 1950 in Rayville, Louisiana. He was the third child of Rose and Floyd Eubanks. The family moved to Houston, Texas shortly afterwards and raised their family here. Lloyd had three siblings, Bobbie Eubanks Powell, Floyd James Eubanks, Jr. and Robert James Eubanks.
Growing up in Houston, he was a graduate of Jack Yates Senior High, class of January 1970. During his school days, he met Edna Rector and they married March 9, 1974.
Lloyd had a love for auto mechanics. He started his career at Continental Trailways and moved on to Metro Bus Company. Within this company, Lloyd elevated to Superintendent and his last work location was the Metro Garage located at US 59 and Loop 610 north of downtown. He retired with 20 plus years of service and shortly thereafter he opened his own shop and continued with his love of working on cars.
He was an avid bowler, and he bowled on many leagues. He won many awards individually and as a team. Bowling was a great getaway for him and he enjoyed it.
Through the years, his personality, his sense of humor, his kindness was felt by all. He treated everyone as though they were special, and they were in his eyes.
Preceded in death: his parents, his sister Bobbie and brother-in-law Roosevelt Powell, and his brother Floyd.
He leaves to mourn: his children, Derrick Powell and Brandie Eubanks, his brother Robert Eubanks and Edna Eubanks, also and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends that are near and far.
