Lloyd D. Feltz, age 89 (3 days short of 90), passed away surrounded by family, on Monday, September 15, 2025. He was born on September 18, 1935, in Baraboo, WI, to the late Carl and Marie Feltz. He served in the Army National Guard for 7 years. On November 16, 1957, he married the love of his life, Joann Feltz. Together, they moved to Sugar Grove, Illinois in 1965, where they raised their family and built a beautiful life.

Lloyd worked as a carpenter for many years, building numerous homes, including the home they lived in for over 55 years. Lloyd retired from Caterpillar in 1995 as the plant carpenter. He volunteered as a Scoutmaster and had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying memorable trips to Colorado, Canada, the Grand Canyon, Montana, and Alaska. In retirement, he and Joann continued their adventures, traveling to the Holy Land, Germany, and even taking part in a mission trip to Guatemala.

Lloyd lived a life rooted in faith, service, and strength. To know Lloyd was to know a friend. He was an avid collector of tractors and tools, always finding joy in the craft of building, fixing, and restoring. A devoted member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church since 1965, Lloyd lived out his values in quiet yet powerful ways, through his work, generosity, and unwavering love for family.

He is survived by his children: Dale (Lisa) Feltz of Bristol, IL; Bonnie (Scott) Taylor of Plano, IL; and Lisa Feltz of North Aurora, IL. He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Doug, Mitch (Lauren), and Angela Feltz; Corrine (Shawn) Hannigan, the late Candra Cox, Sarah Grace Taylor; Megan (Kyle) Jurgensen, Amy (Justin) Gauer, and Rebecca (Nick) Jackson. Lloyd was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren: Adelyn, Declan, and Liam Hannigan; Logan and Brayden Jurgensen; Hunter and Ruby Gauer; and Greyson and Renley Jackson.

The family of Lloyd Feltz would like to thank Advocate Hospice Team and the independent caregivers: Brooke, Sonia, Fay, Laura, Tammy, Christine and Ena.

We want to express our deepest gratitude for the exceptional care, compassion, and dedication you showed to Lloyd during his time with you all.

The kindness, patience, and professionalism made a meaningful difference-not only in his quality of life but also in the peace of mind you brought to our family. Whether it was acts of comfort or the consistent attention to his needs, your presence was a blessing to us all.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a service immediately following at 12:00 p.m. at The Healy Chapel, 322 West Downer Place, Aurora, Illinois 60506. Burial will take place at a later date in Loganville, Wisconsin.
