Lloyd H. Gibbs, age 85, passed away peacefully at his home in Foxborough surrounded by the comfort of his loving family on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. He was the son to the late Wallace and Claire (Shea) Gibbs and husband of the late Nancy Louise (Edlund) Gibbs.
Lloyd was born on February 8, 1940 in Boston. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He worked as a project manager for AT&T and St. Mary's Church for over 60 continuous years of service. He was a founding member of the Knights of Columbus 6063 Council here in town.
Lloyd enjoyed singing with the church choir and Foxboro Serenading Seniors. He was a friend of Bill W. Lloyd would regularly be found in the gardens of his home and at St. Mary's Church. He most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, just having a fascinating conversation. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Loving father of Scott Gibbs and his wife Alison of Foxborough, Jennifer Gibbs and her partner Rochelle Renna of Nashua, NH and Andrew Gibbs and his wife Andrea of Mansfield. Proud grandfather of Brandon, Lauren, Samantha, Amanda, AJ and Sofia. Great grandfather of Emma, Theodore, Jack, Dakota and Conner. Brother of the late Wally and Joan.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, November 16 from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11 AM at St. Mary's Church, 58 Carpenter Street, Foxborough. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Foxborough.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lloyd's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.donate.cancer.org.
