Lloyd Clayton Ludtke passed away at the age of 82 on the 20th of February, 2025 in Seaside, Oregon. Lloyd was born on the 23rd of July, 1942 to his mother Letha Cramer and father Ira Ludtke in Tillamook, Oregon. Lloyd joined his siblings; Cecilia, Audrey and Keith Dyer. At a young age Lloyd and his family moved to Warrenton, Oregon, where he graduated from Warrenton High School in 1960. 

Lloyd joined the Army right after highschool and he especially enjoyed his time stationed in Germany where he enjoyed many recreational activities with his fellow soldiers.

 After being honorably discharged, Lloyd married his first wife, Elaine Footh. Elaine brought with her a son, Ted Ritola. Soon after they welcomed their daughters Dawna and ‘Brinda’, son Ike Ludtke, after moving to Kodiak, Alaska in 1966. Inspired by his dad Ira, Lloyd worked as a commercial fisherman and crabber, while in Alaska on the boat that his father built, “Galaxy.” 

Lloyd met the love of his life, Roseanna Crouch, in 1981 in Warrenton, Oregon. Together, they built a beautiful life, filled with love, adventure, and family. Roseanna had a son, Mark Crouch upon meeting Lloyd. Together, Lloyd and Roseanna welcomed two sons, Aaron and Erik Ludtke, completing their loving home. In 1987, they moved to Alaska, embracing commercial fishing opportunities and experiences. In 1991, they returned back to Warrenton with wonderful memories of Lloyd's fishing adventures. He started a new adventure as a log truck driver upon their return to Oregon.

Lloyd enjoyed building Bonfires on his property, Driving on back roads, Listening to his 8-track collection of Johnny Cash, Hunting, Razor Clamming, making his father’s famous Smoked Fish, Gardening, mending Shrimp Nets, tinkering on his many projects in his basement and lastly restoring a boat he named the “Captain Ira” 

Preceded in death by Father Ira (Ike), Mother Letha, Sisters; Cecilia Lane & Audrey Godon, Brother; Keith Dyer, and Granddaughter, Lacy McColley.

Survived by: Wife: Roseanna Ludtke, Son’s Ted Ritola of Seaside OR, Ira Ludtke of Seaside, OR, Mark Crouch of Warrenton, OR, Aaron Ludtke (Laura) of Frankfort, ME, Erik Ludtke (Angela) Gearhart, OR, Daughter’s Dawna Ludtke of Seaside, OR, Brenda Hartman (Duane) Hammond, OR

Grandchildren: Tiffany Wolters, John Ludtke, Linda Derbyshire, Chas Hardy, Lacy McColly, Michael Conklin Steven Conklin, Emmy Crouch, Devan Crouch, Carter Grimm, Brayden Crouch, Gracie Crouch, Karina Ludtke, Olivia Ludtke, Cierra Osborne, Ariel Osborne, Preston Osborne and Madilyn Ludtke. 

Great Grandchildren: Abby, Brody, Dylan, Haley, Oceana, Elorah, Gryffin, Melody, Lommi, Vincent, Norah, Isabelle, Axel, Sandra, Marerick, & Paisley. 

We especially want to extend are beholden to the staff at Avamere in Seaside, for extending your hearts. Thank you, truly for taking the time to love and see Lloyd how we did. Your grace, will be held in our hearts for years to come. Thank you for shining your light so bright for people who need a little hope during dark waters. 

Lloyd was laid to rest at Fort Stevens National Cemetery. 

A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
