Lloyd Miller, 50, passed away on September 29, 2025. Beloved husband and best friend of Kathy (née Youpel) for nearly 17 years; devoted and adoring father of Eden. Cherished son of Perry and Phyllis; dear brother of Paul (Shannon) and Pam; loving uncle to Rylee, Caleb, George-Thomas, Ethan, and Noah. A lifelong animal lover, Lloyd was a proud dog dad many times over, beginning in his childhood in Skokie, Illinois. He graduated from Niles North High School and went on to earn a B.A. in Film and Television from Columbia College. Lloyd dedicated his life to saving lives. He served as a Firefighter/Paramedic for several municipalities before returning to school to pursue a nursing degree. As an emergency room nurse, Lloyd was twice nominated and awarded the prestigious Daisy Award by his patients for excellence in compassionate nursing care. A proud sci-fi enthusiast, Lloyd had a deep love for Star Trek and Star Wars. He enjoyed cheering on his Chicago Bears on Sundays, but more than anything, he loved watching his daughter Eden play softball, soccer, and basketball. Being her dad was his greatest joy. In Lieu of flowers, please honor Lloyd with a donation to National Animal Welfare Society (NAWS), www.nawsus.org, a no-kill animal shelter that Lloyd supported. Chapel service Sunday, October 5, 2025; 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights, IL.
