Lloyd Eugene Myers, age 85 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024. He was born January 9, 1939 in Miamisburg, Ohio, the son of the late Herman and Orpha Myers. Lloyd was a graduate of Miamisburg High School and a member of St. James United Methodist Church for many years. Lloyd served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a machinist for Dayton Progress for 42 years. Lloyd enjoyed hanging out with his buddies at the Miamisburg Moose Lodge, the Eagles, and the American Legion. He loved and cherished his dog Sadie. Lloyd was an avid sports fan, especially football, and he enjoyed going to both Bengals games and High School Football games to watch the Miamisburg Vikings. He was a proud father and grandfather and cherished time with his family. He will be deeply missed.
Lloyd is survived by his Daughters, Rhonda Myers, Lisa (Chris) Griffin, and Renee West Main; Sister, Barbara Myers; Brother, Herman Myers; Grandchildren, Danielle Fogle, Alexis (Jordan) Humphrey, Brock Fogle, Megan (Robert) Rockwell, Brayden Griffin, Gage Griffin, Ashton Griffin, Brandon Haggard, and Austin Haggard; Great-Grandchildren, Brianna Frazier, Brooke Derringer, and Jake Derringer; and by numerous family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his Wife, Linda Myers; Son, Lloyd Myers, Jr., parents Orpha and Herman, and brothers, Richard, Norbert, Donnie, Carroll, sister, Faye, and stepdaughter, Rona West.
Memorial Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Centerville (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459).
