Lloyd H. Pinchart, 96, Algoma, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023. He was born September 6, 1927, in Lincoln Town, Kewaunee County, to the late William and Hattie (Delain) Pinchart. He graduated from Casco High School. He worked on the farms and at Raton’s in Rio Creek for two years. Then worked at Algoma Hardwoods starting in 1946. On May 25, 1948, he married the love of his life Ella Gloria Frisque at Thiry Daems. In 1952 he was drafted in the US Marine Corps in the Korean War where he served overseas. After his honorable discharge in 1954 he went back to work at Algoma Hardwoods for another 43 years until his retirement in 1990.
Lloyd was a life member of local union 1521 and served as trustee for 25 years. He was a volunteer fireman for the City of Algoma for 21 years. He was a life member of Algoma VFW Post 7152 where he was commander for two years and chaplain for 30 years. After the post disbanded, he joined Kewaunee VFW Post 3392. While a member there, he was a member of the honor guard. He was a life member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Algoma.
Lloyd and his wife enjoyed going on trips every year and going to Branson, MO. He loved sports and went to many Algoma games, he enjoyed watching the Brewers and Packers and also enjoyed playing cards. After his retirement he spent a lot of time in his workshop doing wood crafts.
Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 75 years and his many special nieces and nephews great and great grand nieces and nephews which he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents William & Hattie Pinchart; a twin brother, William (Betty) Pinchart Jr.; father- and mother-in-law, Peter and Edith (Bellin) Frisque; a step-father-in-law Norris Frisque; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Rita (Fred) Clark, Johanna (Norman) Timble, Martin (Nathalie) Frisque.
Visitation will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church-Algoma on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 9-11 am. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am with Fr. Andrew Kurz officiating. Entombment to follow at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Kinnard Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting the family. Online condolence messages may be shared at KinnardFCS.com.
