Lloyd Sheinberg Obituary
Lloyd aka Poppy was the beloved husband of Rita Sheinberg and the devoted father of Melissa Carolan and Cindy Fierstein. He was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren: Ali , Kyra , Jack , Jenna , and Ian ,and a joyful great-grandfather to five great-grandchildren, whom brought him immense happiness.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Lloyd spent many years working as a taxi driver, a job through which he met countless people and shared countless stories. He and Rita moved to Boca Raton, Florida, and enjoyed 25 years in the sunshine.
Lloyd was an avid bowler, pool player, and a die hard Yankee fan. He loved his daily dose of Dewars and cashews while relaxing in his recliner. Lloyd spent the last 2 1/2 years living at Thrive in Montvale, close to his family. Lloyd will be remembered for his humor, his kindness, and his vibrant spirit. He was full of life, quick with a joke, and always ready with a warm smile. His presence brightened every room, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Services will be held 1:00pm, Tuesday, November 18th, with family receiving guests from 12 Noon, at Robert Schoem's Menorah Chapel. Following services, shiva will be observed from 4:00pm through 7:00pm, at the home of Melissa and Andrew Carolan, 385 Cambridge Drive, Ramsey, NJ.
