Lloyd G. Van Bergen

Lloyd G. Van Bergen, age 94, a resident of Naperville since 1959, passed away October 19, 2023.
Lloyd was the beloved husband of Barbara (nee Warner); the loving father of David Van Bergen of Aurora, IL and Susanne Mai of Battle Creek, MI; the cherished grandfather of Andrew and Matthew Denton; and the dear brother of the late Ruth Wunder of Tampa, FL.
Lloyd graduated from Northwestern University with a B.S. and M.A. and worked for 39 years in Human Resource Management in both manufacturing and the healthcare industry. He was a past President of the Society for Human Resource Professionals, past President of the Chicagoland Chapter of the American Society for Training & Development, a member of the Chicagoland Daylily Society and the Northern Illinois Iris Society.
A Mason for 66 years, Lloyd was a member of Euclid Lodge 65, AF & AM, a member of Euclid Chapter 13 - Royal Arch Masons, Medinah Shrine, Valley of Chicago Scottish Rite Masons, Adoniram Council #95 Cryptic Masons, and DuPage Shrine Club.
He was a proud U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a Member of American Legion Post 43.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 24, 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. A Masonic Service will be conducted at 7:00 PM.
A private family interment will be at Chapel Hill Gardens West, Oakbrook Terrace, IL.
