Lloyd Edward Wahl, 86, of Fergus Falls, passed away on June 25, 2025 at the Broen memorial Home in Fergus Falls with his daughter by his side.
“Bugsy,” as known by most, was born July 23, 1938 to Carl Edward and Lillian (Rippie) Wahl.
After his schooling, Lloyd continued his love of driving with a career at Mark Sand and Gravel when at the age of 18 he began driving tandem dump trucks. In his early thirties he took a job at Bunny Bakery which is now Bimbo Bakery driving nights while raising his baby daughter Tonya Kay. When she got older, he started driving for Leo Hought, out of Foxhome, hauling grain for several years. Lloyd was then and he went for it! He leased on with the Golden Ring Trucking for a few years when yet another opportunity arose from Berg Grain and Produce out of West Fargo years old. He was well known throughout the trucking community.
Lloyd was respected for his dedication and willingness to lend a helping hand to his family and friends for anything at any time. He could often be found helping farmers with their field work or rescuing them when their tractors were broke down or stuck in the mud.
Lloyd’s passions included old western movies, John Deere tractor, Draft Horse pulls, tractor pulls, riding his motorcycle, and having coffee with “The Boys” everyday at 3 P.M. Lloyd’s Greatest love was his only daughter, Tonya.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Charlie (Eloise) Wahl.
Lloyd is survived by his child, Tonya; Sisters, Colleen Wahl, Burdell (Jerry) Tessman, and a brother, Rodney (Laurie) Wahl; and several nieces and nephews.
Lloyd was a complete Jokester. Everyone knew that if he picked on you, that meant he liked you!
Blessed by the Memory of Lloyd “Bugsy” Wahl.
