Loeda Ahlberg (96) of Jonesboro, AR entered into the presence of the Lord on July 15, 2025.

A woman of unwavering faith and remarkable strength, Loeda lived a life rich in love, family, and steadfast devotion. Born on October 11, 1928, she embodied the spirit of Southern charm, always quick with a kind word and a welcoming smile. Her firm beliefs and strong positions were always balanced with a generous heart.

Loeda dedicated her professional life to helping others as a social worker, demonstrating compassion and a tireless commitment to serving her community. Her energy was boundless, always on-the-go, yet meticulously put together. She was a member of Christian Valley Church, where her faith was a guiding light in her life and shared with those around her.

She is remembered for her strong will and independence, qualities that shone brightly as she navigated the challenges of raising a special needs child in an era when resources and understanding were scarce. This devotion to family extended to her husband, Bart Ahlberg with whom she shared a love of gardening, cooking, and fellowship. Together, they cultivated beautiful vegetable gardens, fruit trees, grape vines, vibrant flower gardens, and unique cactus collections, finding immense joy in sharing their bounty and homemade meals with family and friends. Her culinary skills and "Hello Dolly" desert were legendary, a testament to her love for nourishing those she cared for.

Loeda Ahlberg is survived by her two sons, James Graves (Linda), Dewey Graves (Naomi); five stepchildren, Glen Ahlberg (Shelia), William Ahlberg (Karn), Linda Calder (Fred), Jerry Ahlberg, and Debbie Peters (Dennis); three grandchildren, Kim McGill, Tim Graves, and Joshua Graves; and three great-grandchildren, Sheridann Gaunt, Destany Lovell, and Jade Graves. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Barton Ahlberg, her parents, Dewey and Sybil Baxley, and stepson Thomas Ahlberg.

A celebration of Loeda's life will be held at Emerson Funeral Home on August 23; Visitation at 1:00 and Service at 2:00. This will be a time to honor her memory and celebrate the promise of everlasting life.
