Logan "Uncle Logan" Garrett of Ste. Genevieve, MO and formerly of Ironton, MO was awarded his place in heaven after being called home by God on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at the age of 25 years and 11 days. Logan's life journey began on July 1, 1997 at Mineral Area Hospital, a son of Brian Garrett and Cheryl Papin.
Logan shared his unending love for his brothers Garret House and wife Kimberly of Park Hills, MO, Austin Garrett and significant other Trent Newell of Belleville, IL, and Landon Garrett and wife Danielle of Fort Riley, KS, all of whom survive and carry on his memory. Also surviving to cherish Logan's memory are his father, Brian Garrett of Arcadia, MO, his mother and step-father Cheryl and Pete Papin of Ste. Genevieve, MO, grandparents Jerry and Lucille Hughes of Pilot Knob, MO and Elayne Garrett of Fredericktown, MO, a niece Sayde Garrett and a nephew Layker Garrett, and many more loving family members and friends.
Logan is preceded in rest by a grandfather, Gene Garrett.
Logan was a graduate of Arcadia Valley High School where he excelled in baseball as an AV Tiger and Babe Ruth, he ran cross country and played basketball for AV as well. He was a proud uncle, an avid hunter (but wasn't a very good one, per Garret), he was a funny and easygoing guy who made friends with everyone, and he was an accomplished cereal connoisseur. Most important of all, he was strong in his faith with the Lord and he loved and looked forward to going to church with his mom and dad at Grace Family Outreach (GFO) in Park Hills. Recently he started a new job at Forte Products in Farmington and was really excited about his new journey.
Logan faced many battles throughout his life, but the most difficult victory for which he was most proud was his sobriety. He was proud of his status of uncle, and in true Logan form and in his own words, he was "advancing up in the levels of unclehood at a rapid pace." The thought of being an uncle was the best gift he had been given and he loved and cherished every minute of it. He enjoyed the time with his family and never left them without a hug and an "I love you." Logan had the biggest heart for all mankind and always shared his love with anyone he encountered. Throughout Logan's battles there was one thing that kept him fighting to win, and that was the love of the Lord that he found. Logan had a strong love for the Lord and wasn't afraid to show it to everyone. He was always the sunshine on a cloudy day and his smile would brighten the darkest of days. The world is now a little less bright, but heaven is much brighter.
