Lois O'Brien Obituary
COLONIE - Lois-Anne O'Brien, of Colonie, N.Y., passed away on March 23, 2026, at Schenectady Center Nursing and Rehabilitation, after a long illness.
Lois-Anne was born in Albany, N.Y., to Calvin Maurice and Jeannette (Quinn) Mallery. Lois-Anne graduated from Philip Schuyler High School in 1959.
Lois-Anne enjoyed spending time with family and friends, celebrating holidays and special occasions.
Lois-Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Jeannette; and her siblings, Laura Mallery, Charles Mallery, Virginia Lynch and Burris Mallery.
Lois-Anne is survived by her husband of 46 years, Patrick O'Brien; sons, Burris (Penny) Beattie, Rolland (Amy Law) Beattie, Keith Beattie and David Beattie; stepdaughter, Laura (Robert) Ryan, and stepdaughter, Susan O'Brien; grandchildren, Andrew (Amy) Beattie, Rebecca Beattie, Erica Beattie, Nicholas Beattie, Ashley Beattie and Adam Beattie; great-grandson, Tyler Beattie. Also survived by several nieces. She also loved and cherished her cat, Princess.
Lois-Anne worked in housekeeping at Albany Medical Center, and worked in the kitchen at several local restaurants.
The family would like to thank the staff at Schenectady Center, especially the Willow and Elm units, for their care and compassion.
Visitation will take place on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with a Funeral Service to begin at 12:30 p.m., at Cannon Funeral Home, Albany N.Y. 12205. Interment will follow at Holy Spirit Lutheran Cemetery, Glenmont.
