Lois L. Bierer

Lois L (Dugan) Bierer, age 87 passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 22, 2025. She was born on 7/10/38 in Bobtown, Pennsylvania to Lester and Bessie (McAllister) Dugan. Lois was raised in Greensboro, Pennsylvania and graduated in 1956 from Mapletown High School. She married Thomas E Bierer and moved to Ohio. They lived in Mentor for 11 years and settled in Leroy for 32 years.

She was employed as an executive secretary at Lake County Employment and Training for 25 years.

She and Tom enjoyed square dancing and were members of The Mapletown Squares. They met many long-term friends there.

She is survived by her 3 children Lori (Michael) Booth, Terrie (Tony) Cell and Tom (Mary) Bierer whom she loved dearly. She has 5 grandchildren Edward (Kelly) Hines, Kellie Hines, Jennifer (Austin) Lilley, Adam Markley and Derek Markley. 6 Great Grandchildren Claire Hines, Charlotte Hines, Kenlie Evans, Mason Lilley, Jensen Lilley and Sebastian Markley.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas E Bierer and her parents Lester and Bessie Dugan.

She was a member of First Church of Christ in Painesville, Ohio. She loved her church and her friends and her church family very much.

A celebration of life will be held at First Church of Christ in Painesville at a later date.
