Lois Bissantz Obituary
HILTON HEAD ISLAND - Lois Jean Bissantz, age 96, formerly of Batavia, passed away on May 14, 2025. She was born on March 12, 1929, to the late Donald and Elizabeth (nee Hunt) Jamieson. Lois was the beloved wife of the late Neal Bissantz; cherished mother of Cathleen (Homer) Brown and the late Connie Bissantz; dear sister of the late Richard (Margaret) Jamieson; and aunt of Melissa Jamieson, Beth Jamieson Armitage, Andrew Jamieson, Cherylene Bissantz Ravenscraft, Vicki McCormick Olson, and Nanci McCormick Bauer. Lois loved her husband, her family, and the Lord with all of her heart.
Lois graduated from Batavia High School, and lived most of her life in Batavia. Along with her late husband, Lois was a proud member of Batavia Faith United Methodist Church.
Shortly after her husband Neal passed, Lois moved in 2014 to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, to live with her daughter. After moving, she attended Hilton Head First Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held on May 21, 2025, at 11AM, at Batavia Faith United Methodist Church with light refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Batavia Faith United Methodist Church (www.bataviafaithumc.org) or the Pregnancy Center and Clinic of the Low Country (www.pregnancycenterhhi.org).
