Lois Bluhm Obituary

LOIS LOUISE BLUHM, age 92, of Janesville passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026 at Whispering Creek Nursing Home in Janesville.

Lois was born on February 19, 1933, in rural Pemberton, the daughter of Louis and Lila (Marzinski) Lueck. She attended school in Pemberton and was confirmed in Alma City. On July 30, 1951, Lois was united in marriage to Lyle Bluhm of Wells at St. John Lutheran Church in Alma City. The couple lived in rural Pemberton until 1954, when they moved to Janesville.

Lois enjoyed attending Pioneer Power to look at antique farm equipment. She loved horses and took great pride in watching her son and grandson compete in ranch rodeo events. She enjoyed bible studies and bingo in her free time. Camping was another favorite pastime, but above all, Lois cherished her family and especially adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Lois is survived by her children, Linda (Wayne) Prechel of Janesville, Larry (Audrey) Bluhm of rural Pemberton, Leroy (Lorrie) Bluhm of rural Janesville; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; special niece, Darlene (Galen) Archerd; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Bluhm; parents, Louis and Lila Lueck; sisters, Betty Spangenberg, Doris Hoffman; father and mother-in-law, Arnold (Rosa) Bluhm; nephews, David Dugan and Duane Oftedahl Jr., niece, Debra Harris; and special cousins, Alvina and Roger Giese.

Memorial service will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Alma City Cemetery.
