Lois June Brodowski, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025. Born on June 29, 1930, in Maryland, Lois lived a life filled with love, generosity, and devotion to her family. Lois was the beloved wife to the late Louis John Brodowski. She was the cherished daughter of the late Louis John Dorbit and Mary Anna Dorbit (nee Reese); and had siblings Mary Lou Marks and Linda May Bange, as well as a late brother Robert John Dorbit
Lois was a dedicated office supervisor at Bethlehem Steel Company, where her meticulous nature and organization were evident in all aspects of her work. These same qualities shone brightly in her personal life; she was a gifted decorator, creating warm and inviting spaces that embodied her nurturing spirit.
Above all, Lois took great pride in her family. She is survived by her beloved daughter LuAnn Jean Hall, grandchildren Mary Chanda Thompson (Joe), Monroe Hall IV (Dana), and Avery "Ari" Augustyn (Andrew), as well as great-grandchildren Molly Thompson, Monroe Hall V, Leah Thompson, and Olivia Hall. Her nurturing presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her, especially her grandchildren, with whom she formed unbreakable bonds.
Lois was a vibrant member of her community, enjoying the company of friends at the Sparrows Point Country Club and the Red Eye Yacht Club, where her love for boating and traveling flourished. She found joy in creating memories, whether sailing on the water or traveling to new destinations. Lois loved to sing, she was a loyal member of the St. John's Lutheran Church of Glen Arm choir and the Seven Oaks Senior Center chorus, the "Oakettes" for many years.
In celebration of her remarkable life, a public viewing will be held at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on April 8, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring Lois's memory during the funeral service on April 9, 2025, at 11:30 AM, also at Connelly Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery, where she will be lovingly laid to rest.
Lois June Brodowski's legacy of kindness, love, and dedication to her family will forever be celebrated and cherished in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Her spirit will continue to shine through the lives she touched.
