Lois Brooks Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Anthony Funeral & Cremation Chapels - Webster Chapel on Jan. 21, 2026.
January 18, 2026. One week after turning 97 years young, and holding the hands of her cherished family, the angels took her home.
Lois is predeceased by her loving husband, David, and was the last remaining sibling of 7 Reynolds brothers and sisters. She is survived by her beloved children Kathleen (Richard) Allen, Kimberley (Bryan) Bundschuh, and son Kenneth; her cherished granddaughters Michelle (Jonathan Holmes) Webb and Melissa (Adam) Michel as well as step-grandchildren Chad (Jenn) Pero, Terri (Kevin) Macomber, Erika (Tyrick) Wilson and Jennifer Allen; 12 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Lois served in the Army during the Korean War on Governor's Island, NY working in the office of General MacArthur, of which she was extremely proud. She was a lifetime member of Lake Avenue Baptist Church where she met her husband David at Sunday Night Club. They developed many lifelong friends from that group of young people. Lois loved to read and had quite a green thumb, a talent that she inherited from her family's history at Brockman Florist in Irondequoit.
She and David square-danced with other friends for many years. She loved music, especially Frank Sinatra. She was an avid Buffalo Bills and Boston Red Socks fan. Her greatest achievement was raising her three children.
Lois was a caregiver her whole life starting with her baby brothers. After retiring from Wegmans after 20 plus years, she continued to be active in her community, volunteering at the American Red Cross and Fairport Baptist Home. When she moved to Baywinde Senior Living, then to Sage Harbor Assisted Living in Webster, she welcomed new seniors to the community and volunteered on several committees.
The family would like to thank the staff at Sage Harbor Assisted Living, and especially everyone at Highland Hospital in the hospice department. The compassion and support shown to all of us made this difficult journey easier. The kindness shown to our family will always be remembered.
Friends may call to the funeral home (1031 Ridge Rd, Webster), Tuesday January 27 from 4-5:30 pm with a service immediately following at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Lois' name to Rochester Veterans Outreach Center. (VOC) in Rochester.
