Lois Carpenter Obituary
Lois was a graduate of Thornbury High School in Texas, class of 1950 and before her retirement had worked as a bookkeeper at Gerken Chevrolet in Downingtown. Lois enjoyed completing words search puzzles and also loved quilting and sewing but most important was time spent with her family.
She was predeceased by her parents William Henry and Mary Hazel Stevenson Dingler, her children Karen Sue Yingling and Benjamin D. Carpenter and eight siblings.
She is survived by her children Gary Nickel (Mary) and Donna Riahi (Ramin), her sister Bonnie Martin, her daughter-in-law Mary Carpenter, son-in-law Jules Yingling as well as eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be held privately.
Memorial gifts to Friends of Fair Acres, 340 North Middletown Road, Lima, PA 19037 or to The American Cancer Society at http://www.cancer.org would be appreciated.
