Lois Coggin Obituary
Lois was born in Rahway, New Jersey, on November 18, 1938. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Thomas Purdy and Joan Wallace Purdy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Calvin, and son, Bobby Bridges.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Coggin; daughters, Debbie Kittles (Robert) and Cathy Vestal; step-children, Charles, Glenda, and Susan; brothers, Ray Calvin (Faye), Wesley Calvin (Robbie), and Tommy Purdy; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Wife of Jerry Coggin for 35 years, Lois embraced her new blended family and each and every grandchild and great-grandchild as well. Lois started her work at Griffin Spalding Hospital as an LPN and ended her career as a Billing Auditor.
Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the chapel. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
