Lois Daiker Obituary

Obituary for Lois Augusta Daiker
Lois Augusta Daiker, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025, at the age of 90. She was born on November 24, 1934, in Cincinnati, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and love that touched everyone she encountered.
Lois was a devoted and active member of the Monfort Heights United Methodist Church, where her spirit of generosity and compassion was evident in all she did. She was involved with the prayer chain, bible study classes, and Sunday school to name some of her contributions. A longtime employee of Hamilton County Park Services at Farbach-Werner Nature Preserve, she showed a deep appreciation for nature, conveying her love for the outdoors to all she encountered. Her maternal nature defined her character; she was always more concerned about the well-being of others before herself, selflessly giving her time and energy to those in need. Lois was also a very inquisitive person, always interested in her family and friends endeavors. Lois's generosity extended beyond her immediate circle, as she and her husband supported many charities, leaving a lasting impact on many.
She is survived by her cherished son, David (Jen) Daiker, daughters Barb (Andrean Lynch) Daiker and Beth (Shelton) Plamondon, and her beloved grandchildren: Kyle, Dan, Liese, Allecia, Samantha, Alex, and Emily, along with three great-grandchildren. Her sister, Christine Cornelius, and brothers-in-law, Ken (Lan) Daiker and Roger (Mary) Daiker, along with her nieces and nephews, Jeff Daiker, Kera Everett, Andrew Daiker, Kylie Allensworth and Abbey Cornelius who will also remember her fondly.
Lois was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Daiker, parents, Frederick and Tabea Anger, sisters, Elisabeth Anger and Margaret Anger, as well as brother-in-laws Jerry Daiker and Frank Cornelius.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th, 2025 at Monfort Heights United Methodist Church, 3682 W Fork Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45247 from 12:30-1:00pm. A funeral service will follow at 1:00pm. Burial will take place at the Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231 at 2:30pm. For those unable to attend services in person, there will be a livestream on the Monfort Heights Facebook page at that the service will be streamed on Montfort Heights Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/share/16hRijG5Do/?mibextid=wwXIfr

Grace Tukurah

June 25, 2025

This photo was taken on June 18, 2017. Almost exactly 8 years ago. We had spent that entire day with Jim and Lois, first at church, then at lunch, before heading to the butterfly exhibit in Cincinnati. As a family, we were reminiscing about this photo a few days ago, not realizing that like the beautiful butterflies that we saw that day, Lois had also transformed. Jim and Lois adopted us into their hearts and their lives almost 18 years ago. So many of our memories in Cincinnati include them. We will miss you so much Lois, and we are so glad that your spirit has been reunited with Jim. Your love continues to live on through all of us who knew and loved you. We also extend our condolences to the family, church and friends. With love, The Tukurah family (Musa, Grace, Safiya and Jemimah)
