Lois Jean Daugherty was born on March 7, 1945, in Rosewood, Ohio to Grover and Ruth (Merman) Everett. She grew up in Ohio and attended school in Rosewood. On October 27, 1962, Lois was united in marriage to Graham Daugherty. Graham was in the Navy, so the couple lived in many locations. When Graham retired in 1978, they moved to Nebraska and in 1982 they settled in Logan, Iowa.

Lois enjoyed woodworking and crafts. She also enjoyed rebuilding and restoring homes with Graham. Lois loved to drive, she would hop in the car and go visit family any time she could. Most of all she loved her family and enjoyed watching the grandkids play sports.

Lois died on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 79 years, seven months and 12 days.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Graham; and brothers, Carl, Harold and Delyn Everett. She is survived by her children; Karen and her husband Tom Sluka of Milligan, Nebraska, Gail Daugherty of Blair, Nebraska and Lee Daugherty and his wife Candace of Santa Fe, Texas; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Cathy Rice of Piqua, Ohio and Vicky Thomas of Degraft, Ohio; and many other relatives and friends.
