Lois Aileen Duhan, age 93, of Tecumseh, MI, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Cambrian Memory Care in Tecumseh, MI under the care of Careline Hospice. She was born on October 2, 1931 in Saginaw, MI, the daughter of Paul and Dorothy (Lucas) Hoard. She married Robert Stanley Duhan on June 2, 1956, in Jackson MI. They were a perfect match, and they enjoyed a beautiful marriage and life together for fifty-two years until Robert's death on August 17, 2008.
Lois was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Tecumseh, MI, where she served as a member of the Altar Society as well as the choir. She also belonged to the Wit and Wisdom Group, the Red Hat Society, and the Tecumseh Service Club. Lois enjoyed water aerobics, walking, traveling, especially with her late husband, but her main love and focus was always her family.
Lois is survived by her children, Michael (Jeanne) Duhan of Soldotna, AK, Carolyn (Mike) Mayers of Sugar Land TX, Theresa (Dave) Staubus of Grand Ledge, MI, David Duhan of Palmer, AK, and Patty (Stephan) Bollin of Upland, CA; nine grandchildren, Jessica (Brad Kiebler) Staubus of St. Johns, MI, Elisabeth (Conner Corcoran) Mayers of Houston, TX, Stephanie (Brad) Manning of DeWitt, MI, Amy Mayers of Texas, Kami Duhan of Alaska, Annika Bollin, Willem Bollin, R.J. Bollin, and Thomas Bollin, all of Upland CA; three great-grandchildren, Josie DenHartigh of St. Johns, MI, Jordan and Camryn Manning, both of DeWitt, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband Robert, Lois was preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia May, Dorothy Mohr, and her brother, Paul Hoard Jr.
A funeral mass for Lois will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, March 28, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Tecumseh, MI, with Fr. Dan Wheeler officiating. Visitation will take place at the church beginning at 10:00 and continuing until the time of the mass. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Tecumseh, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to Careline Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association

My family (The Cangley's) grew up with the Duhan Family. Very fond memories all throughout grade school through High School. Although every Duhan child was a gifted athlete, they were so humbling and nice.

I hope that time, memories, family and God will help you through her passing.
