Lois Edwards Obituary
ALLENTOWN - Lois E. Edwards, 73, of Allentown, died Friday (Oct. 3, 2025) in her home, surrounded by her family.
Born July 10, 1952, in the Town of Ward, she was the daughter of William and Betty Stives Edwards. On May 26, 1976, in West Clarksville, she married Richard Edwards, who predeceased her Jan. 2, 2025.
Lois was a 1972 graduate of Cuba Central School.
She served as a Cub Scout leader in Cuba and a baseball coach for Cuba Farm League. Lois was a life member of Allentown Volunteer Fire Department and a member of Restoration Church of Christ in Scio.
Surviving are two children, Richard "Paul" (Christina) Edwards of Allentown and James R. (Robin) Edwards of Allentown; six grandchildren, Joshua (Amy) Edwards, Jeremiah (Jme) Edwards, Brandon Edwards, Tyler Edwards, Andrea (Christopher Evans) Edwards and Makalya Edwards; 11 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Dolores Edwards and Linda Niles-Thompson.
A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, in Knights Creek Cemetery, Scio. Rev. Glenn Layfield will officiate.
Memorials may be made to Restoration Church of Christ in Scio.
Arrangements are under the direction of Olney-Foust & Embser Funeral Homes & Cremation, 34 W. State St., Wellsville.
